The useful question is what happens when a guest stays over. Will this purchase need to become their bed, or will it stay in front of the TV? That answer narrows CordaRoy's versus Lovesac faster than a list of fabric colors.
Cosac publishes this guide and sells competing beanbag chairs. We checked the manufacturers' specifications on September 9, 2026; we haven't tested these models side by side. The comparisons below concern their construction, dimensions, and care instructions, with our room-planning advice clearly separated from those facts.
The models in this comparison
We're comparing CordaRoy's Original Queen in Chenille with Lovesac's MovieSac and SuperSac. Queen describes the bed inside the CordaRoy's chair. MovieSac and SuperSac are names for differently sized Sacs. They aren't equivalent size categories, and this guide doesn't cover Lovesac's Sactional sofas.

Measure the room in chair mode and bed mode
For CordaRoy's, tape the listed bed rectangle onto the floor before buying. Try opening the door, reaching the closet, and walking around the coffee table with that outline in place. A corner that holds the folded chair might leave no usable route through the room when the bed opens.
Our planning suggestion: decide where the displaced furniture will go, too. Sliding a coffee table against the sofa is manageable; carrying it upstairs for every overnight visit is a different commitment. Leave space to handle the cover and turn the bed back into a chair.
With a MovieSac or SuperSac, plan around the lounging position you'll actually use. Mark the published width, then allow for your feet, nearby furniture, and a route around the seat. Matching the Queen chair's nominal width to a MovieSac doesn't establish equal seating capacity or equal comfort.
How bed conversion changes everyday use
CordaRoy's conversion instructions describe removing the outer cover and laying the inner foam bed flat. To return to chair mode, you fold it and fit it back into the cover. The bed rests on the floor, so think about whether that height suits the person who'll use it.
Ask to see the complete conversion at a retailer if handling bulky bedding is difficult for you. A short demonstration can answer a practical question a product photo can't: can you comfortably manage the return to chair mode yourself? We haven't timed or tested that process.
The MovieSac and SuperSac are dedicated lounging forms. Taking off their covers doesn't reveal a rectangular guest bed. If overnight accommodation is the reason you're buying, keep that requirement explicit when comparing them with a convertible chair.
Filling names don't settle the comfort question
CordaRoy's describes the fill in its Queen Chenille as shredded polyfoam. Lovesac identifies its MovieSac fill as proprietary shredded Durafoam. Those descriptions don't establish identical foam, firmness, temperature, or long-term performance.
Try the exact model if you can. Sit how you normally watch a film, check where your head rests, and get back up. Someone who likes a low, enveloping seat may make a different choice from someone who wants an easy rise to standing. We can't rank either person's comfort from a dimensions table.
Cover care: check the drying step
CordaRoy's Queen Chenille instructions allow machine washing and tumble drying of the outer cover; the inner liner is for spot cleaning. Lovesac specifies a cold machine wash and line drying for the MovieSac Alpine Swirl Phur cover. Follow the label on the exact fabric you order.
Before choosing, work out where a wet cover will dry and whether your washer can accommodate it according to its instructions. Compare complete setups when checking prices
The CordaRoy's Queen Chenille listing includes the size-matched cover and inner bed. For Lovesac, select an insert-and-cover configuration; a cover-only listing isn't a complete chair. Compare your actual selected fabrics and components in the same currency.
Build the budget around what you'll use: the chair, any spare cover, and bedding or a protector if required. Keep optional accessories separate so a bundle doesn't obscure the cost of the seat. Check the final amount and promotion conditions directly, since a catalog price for another fabric isn't your quote.
Which one would we choose for each room?
For a room that regularly hosts overnight guests, we'd start with CordaRoy's. Its convertible format addresses that job, provided the opened bed fits and the intended guest is comfortable using a floor-level bed. If the room can't accommodate the bed, reconsider the layout before buying a larger chair.
